# Can I run sandboxes in the US West (AWS) region?

> Yes. US West (AWS) is a managed E2B region on AWS us-west-2, available on every plan with the same features, pricing, and limits as the US region. Contact support to get a project there.

Yes. US West (AWS) is a managed E2B region hosted in AWS `us-west-2`. It's available on all plans, with the same features, pricing, and limits as the US region.

## Get access

[Contact support](https://console.e2b.dev/?support=true) to request a [project](/projects) in US West (AWS). We'll create it for you, and you can manage it alongside your other projects in the [E2B Console](https://console.e2b.dev/).

## Connect to the region

Each project belongs to a single region and has its own API keys. Create an API key in your new project, then set these environment variables wherever you run your code or the CLI:

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark-default"}}
E2B_API_KEY=e2b_YOUR_US_WEST_AWS_KEY
E2B_DOMAIN=foxtrot-2.e2b.dev
```

The SDKs and CLI both use `E2B_DOMAIN` to connect to the region. To use multiple regions in the same process, create a separate client for each region. See [Multiple regions](/client#multiple-regions) for details.

## Templates and resources

Your existing resources stay in their original project:

* **Templates:** Rebuild your custom templates in the new project. You can reuse the same template names.
* **Sandboxes and snapshots:** Create new sandboxes and snapshots in US West (AWS).
* **Volumes:** Existing volumes and their data remain in their original project.

## Billing

Each project has its own subscription. If you're moving all your usage to US West (AWS), support can transfer your current plan to the new project.

You can also continue using both regions, with a separate subscription for each project.

## Egress IP ranges

If you need a strict IP allowlist, route sandbox traffic through your own proxy. See [Egress IP ranges](/faq/egress-ip-ranges) for more details.
